During the Mexican Revolution, a gang massacres the population of a small town. 10 years later, a widowed woman named Alvira visits the now completely run-down town and offers the brutal Mexican bandit Don Carlos, who is causing trouble there, 20,000 dollars in gold if he finds and kills her husband's murderer. The murderer is said to be the notorious revolutionary Aguila, who is also suspected to be in the town. However, since the sadistic Don Carlos is only playing games with her, she seeks protection from the local priest. He was in turn one of the leaders of the gang that once committed the massacre, something Alvira does not suspect. Eventually, the town is occupied by a unit of Mexican soldiers led by a colonel who is also looking for the mysterious Aguila. The colonel was also heavily involved in the brutal massacre and suddenly it turns out that the wanted man is someone else and a murderous showdown ensues...
