2021. Lured by the promises of the dictator Lukashenko, Bashir and Amina and their Syrian family, like many other refugees, booked a flight to Minsk in order to cross the border to Poland and then to their relatives in Sweden. But the promise becomes a trap. Along with thousands of others, the family is stuck in no man's land between Poland and Belarus, driven back and forth in the strictly restricted restricted area by border guards from both countries. This is where the lives of different people intersect. Jan is an officer for the Polish border guard and comes from the area himself. But what he sees and has to do at the border increasingly plunges him into internal conflicts. The psychotherapist Julia moved to eastern Poland after a stroke of fate and without planning it, she becomes part of a group of activists who, despite the state ban, try to provide the refugees stuck in the forests with the essentials. They all meet Bashir and Amina, who fight every day for the survival of their family.
