This book gives an excellent procedure for optimizing a compact size, wideband microstrip patch antennas. The technique described in this book is based on using genetic algorithm to optimize the dimensions of a microstrip patch antenna having a ground plate with a special cut. The bandwidth achieved here is very attractive for mobile communication systems. Two software packages were used for this purpose, Matlab 2010 and the latest version of CTS microwave studio.
